Pursing her degree in Teaching at Lewis-Clark State College

Her hard work and perseverance have earned her a place on the dean’s list, but more importantly, they have given her children the stability and future they deserve.  Amanda looks forward to graduating in December 2025 and giving back to the community that has supported her transformation.

Ashleigh

Pursing her degree in Teaching at North Idaho College

Ashleigh is proving to herself that she can succeed, with her lowest grade standing at an impressive 81%. Juggling school, work, and raising a toddler is no easy feat, but she is determined to push forward and create a brighter future for her family.

Desirae

Pursing her degree in Teaching at North Idaho College

Desirae has worked as a Title teacher and now serves as a Kindergarten teacher’s aide. Her passion for education stems from her belief that every child is unique and capable of success when given the right environment—an environment she dreams of creating in her own future classroom.

Deidra

Pursuing her degree in Nursing at North Idaho College

Deidra is set to graduate with her associate degree in May 2025. Her ambitions don’t stop there—she plans to apply for the nursing program at North Idaho College and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) through Lewis-Clark State College. Deidra’s ultimate goal is to work in the ICU at a local hospital and eventually specialize in anesthesia, pediatrics, or oncology.

Krista

Pursing her degree in Social Work at Boise State University

Her ultimate goal is to work for the Department of Health and Welfare in Coeur d'Alene while pursuing a master’s degree in social work at Boise State University. Krista’s vision includes moving to a rural area to provide counseling services to families who have historically been underserved due to their geographic location.

Marcela

Pursing her degree in Nursing at North Idaho College

Currently enrolled in the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program at North Idaho College, she plans to concurrently pursue her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Lewis-Clark State College through their extension program, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner.

Mimi

Pursing her degree in Social Work at North Idaho College

Mimi is currently enrolled at North Idaho College, working toward a degree in social work. She aspires to work with incarcerated women, offering them hope, encouragement, and the tools they need to transform their lives.

Stephanie

Pursuing her degree in Social at

Lewis-Clark State College

Her ultimate goal is to create a nonprofit community center dedicated to supporting aging-out foster youth and at-risk young adults. She envisions a welcoming space filled with compassionate staff and valuable resources, ensuring that these young individuals receive the guidance and support they need to transition into adulthood successfully. Stephanie wants them to know they are not alone—there are people who genuinely care and will stand by them no matter what.

Tanisa

Pursing her degree in Nursing at

North Idaho College

Currently in the process of completing her prerequisites, Tanisa plans to apply for nursing school in the spring of 2026. Becoming a nurse has been her dream since childhood, and now, despite challenges, she is dedicated to making that dream a reality—not just for herself, but as a powerful example for her children.

Tressa

Pursing her degree in Hospitality and Resort Management at North Idaho College

Now, she is focused on bettering her life and her family’s future and plans to pursue a career in hospitality and resort management in spite of many financial and personal challenges. Tressa has a great passion for life and her favorite quote is one from Winston Churchill: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
